Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability back in April, this cartography software collection is back for a limited time that lasts through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
